The site for listening to MEOSAR signals was chosen because it is in a “radio quiet zone”.
“There’s deep space exploration next door and we’ve chosen this site here because it’s got good, quiet radio which means that we can pick up the signals from the satellite clearly.”
Young students got to visit the site and learn about its importance in the next generation of technology on the stage of international cooperation for search and rescue.
