2019-12-12 Being prepared pays off for capsized pair of 406 beacon owners

Two persons were rescued near Jurien Bay in Western Australia on 30 November.

Their registration contact confirmed they were out fishing, and rescue helicopters and aircraft were tasked, as well as a local volunteer marine rescue.

The beacon was correctly registered and the beacon registration details were critical in a successful response by the Australian ARC (AMSA Response Centre).
