Member of the International Cospas-Sarsat programme as a User State, the Republic of Serbia, via the Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia, has published a 406 MHz Distress Beacons leaflet, as one of their active measures to prevent false alerting and improper use of beacons.
This leaflet contains necessary information for beacon users, vendors and maintenance organizations in the Serbia search and rescue region regarding the registration 406 beacons, beacon testing (including live testing), false alert prevention and the procedure for the disposing of old beacons.
