The family struggled to get into the dinghy as their charter boat burned.

The dinghy soon took on water and the family tried bailing it out with a two-litre ice-cream bucket, but the dinghy took on too much water and rolled.
A rescue helicopter had been called off when the family had reached the dinghy, but was called back fifteen minutes later.
