A wave crashed through the windshield of their boat near Townsville, Australia, and the three adults and toddler huddled together in open water having radioed for help as the boat was sinking and activated their EPIRB at 4 a.m.
They were well prepared with a strobe light and the helicopter lowered a life boat to them, bringing them to safety with no injuries within 90 minutes from the start of their ordeal.
